Mike has 25 years of experience as both an entrepreneur and intrapreneur, leading product innovation, team scaling, and business growth for global organizations including CyberSource (NASDAQ: CYBS) and Visa (NYSE: V). He has successfully navigated mergers and acquisitions, led venture fundraising, and contributed to liquidity events totaling more than $2.2 billion.

Having lived and worked across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, Mike brings a uniquely global perspective, deep operational expertise, and a proven track record in transforming digital commerce businesses.

He actively advises and invests in emerging technology companies through his portfolio in SaaS (compliance, Fintech), industrial services, and security (tokenization).

A lifelong learner, Mike holds a B.A. cum laude from UC San Diego, an M.B.A from the University of San Francisco where he was a McLaren Fellow, and professional credentials from INSEAD and MIT.

Kevin Piao

Co-Founder | Cross-Border Commerce & Payments Executive

Kevin is a senior leader in the credit card and payment industry with 25+ years of experience. He played a pivotal role in building China’s cross-border eCommerce payment infrastructure and led Bank of China (International)’s eCommerce processing portfolio. He later drove market expansion efforts at First Data (China).

Throughout his career, Kevin has established strong relationships across government agencies, international card schemes, ISOs, third-party payment providers, travel platforms, and customer service organizations in China. He has advised and supported many Fintech and cross-border commerce innovators over the past two decades.

Kevin and Mike first partnered in 2011 while developing the cross-border processing ecosystem for some of today’s largest global eCommerce brands.

Splitting his time between the U.S. and Shanghai, Kevin enjoys cooking, hiking, and exploring historic sites across both countries.
